The changes come in the wake of the ongoing discussion around equal pay between the United States Men’s and Women’s National Teams
England and Brazil join Australia, Norway and New Zealand as countries to have committed to paying their men’s and women’s players the same amount of match fees and match bonuses.
Brazil’s Football Confederation said “There is no more gender difference, as the CBF is treating men and women equally. What they will gain by conquering or by staging the Olympics next year will be the same as the men will have.”
While a Federal judge dismissed the USWNT’s case in early May, the team is currently appealing the ruling.
